Dr. Joseph Bart Venâncio Arrington

Founder/Chief Executive Officer

As a lifelong sufferer of sleep paralysis and other sleeping disorders, Joseph has been dedicated to the task of using his research and business education to try to provide a solution for himself, his family, and people like him.

His experiences in leading Beacon Sleep Solutions stem from a career as a healthcare professional, patented inventor, published scientist, serial entrepreneur, proven business leader, and human rights activist. For this work, Joseph was honored as one of Utah Business' Forty Under 40 business professionals in 2023. He is also board eligible as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He received an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business in Pennsylvania and is furthering his research training by pursuing a PhD in Health Systems and Innovation Research at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. He previously underwent MBA training at the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster University in Utah, as well as having majored in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Pediatric Clinical Research from the University of Utah College of Health, having previously obtained an Associate Degree from Ensign College. He is also a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, as well as maintaining certifications as both a personal trainer and nutrition coach through the National Association of Sports Medicine.

When he is not working or spending time with non-profit organizations to serve the community, he spends his time with his wife, Krischa, and their seven (soon to be eight!) children (Brianne, Madison, Dinah, Audrey, Adam, Declan, and Myles). Joseph also has the privilege of teaching science and business courses for them through their school program overseen by My Tech High.

Joseph’s vision for Beacon Sleep Solutions is rooted in helping everyone get a better night’s sleep. His goal is for Beacon Sleep’s technology to be a beacon for many who suffer who haven’t had a concrete solution. What the C-Pap machine is for sleep apnea, Beacon’s tech will be for disorders like sleep paralysis and sleepwalking.

Krischa G. Arrington

Chief Operations Officer

Starting as Beacon’s registered agent before becoming an administrative assistant, Krischa has been involved with the organization since it began. After the COVID-19 pandemic caused a global quarantine resulting in Beacon’s operations having to go into hiatus, Krischa joined her husband/Beacon’s founder (Joseph Arrington) in another medical device venture (Nocturnal Neuro) to help create and promote further technological advancements in sleep medicine. Her leadership and diligence during those years led to her being moved to COO of Beacon Sleep Solutions.

Her previous training in speech/language pathology, receiving a Bachelor of Science in that field from Utah State University along with seeing her own children inherit sleeping disorders such as sleepwalking, gave her a passion to help those suffering from similar issues. She is currently back at her alma mater of Utah State University undergoing training to receive an MBA to further hone her previous professional experiences for the benefit of Beacon Sleep Solutions and its product’s users. Those experiences include serving as a Precinct Chair and District Vice-Chair for her former political party, Chair of a community council’s board of directors in Salt Lake City, as well as a board member of Utah’s Westside Coalition. She is also serving as the Tooele Valley Rotary Chapter’s President-Elect, to serve as President from July 2024 to June 2025.

When not working and volunteering, Krischa spends her time with her husband and their soon-to-be 8 children in Tooele, Utah. She oversees their schooling and teaches many of their courses that are not taught at other educational facilities.
